Community Manager
Mercor is hiring a community manager to design and scale IRL and online events for its expert network while collaborating across product, marketing, and operations.
Mercor's community manager will craft and scale an integrated events strategy that blends IRL and online touchpoints for experts while partnering with internal teams on launches and storytelling.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end events engine, including strategy, budgets, timelines, venues, vendor management, run-of-show, contingency plans, and post-mortems.
- Design programs that resonate with different expert segments such as clinicians, AI researchers, and legal specialists.
- Build community at scale by creating playbooks, host kits, and an ambassador program that empowers experts to run meetups under Mercor's brand.
- Drive marketing and growth initiatives across landing pages, email, SMS, social, partnerships, and press to reach the right audience.
- Produce content and storytelling by recruiting speakers, moderating sessions, and turning events into reusable assets like highlight reels and case studies.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Events, and Ops on demos, launches, logistics, and scalable processes.
- Develop a partner ecosystem with universities, professional societies, conferences, and labs for co-hosted programming.
About You
- Operator at heart with experience running complex, large-scale events and comfort shifting between venue contracts and speaker prep.
- Community-first with high EQ, excellent communication, and confidence on stage and one-to-one.
- Fluent in technology and AI trends with hands-on marketing experience spanning campaigns, social media, and brand consistency.
- Analytical mindset that defines success up front, tracks metrics, and iterates based on data.
- Self-starter who has built something from zero such as a company, club, conference, or creator community.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; degrees in Business, Economics, Advertising, Marketing Analytics, or similar are a plus.
Bonus Points
- Experience engaging professional audiences like physicians, lawyers, researchers, senior engineers, or academic communities.
- Existing online or IRL audience.
- Comfort on stage or on camera.
- Familiarity with tools such as Circle, Airtable, Notion, Figma, Eventbrite, Luma, Splash, HubSpot, Marketo, and dashboarding platforms.
Compensation & Location
- Full-time position based in San Francisco with equity and a salary range of $80K-$120K per year.
- Build programming that expands from the United States to global markets.
