Mercor is seeking Expert Project Managers (EPMs) to partner with strategic project leads supporting AI labs and research organizations. You will coordinate operations, guide expert communities, and uphold quality across complex workflows.

Key Responsibilities

The Expert Project Manager role is a remote contract position paying $50-$50/hr. It suits experienced professionals who want flexible, project-based AI work reviewed on a rolling basis. You collaborate directly with client teams on real deliverables that help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems, with no long-term commitment required.

• Support a Mercor project lead in coordinating project operations and managing workflows.
• Engage experts across projects and steward community communication channels.
• Host office hours and build searchable Q&A documentation once projects stabilize.
• Send metrics updates, reminders, and nudges to keep contributors on track.
• Respond to support tickets, run 1:1 expert follow-ups, and surface issues quickly.
• Run first-round data QA alongside lead reviewers to maintain deliverable quality.

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years in project management, operations, or community coordination.
• Experience as an executive assistant, chief of staff, program manager, or educator is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with an eye for skimmable structure.
• Process-focused mindset with strong documentation and quality control habits.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving operational challenges.
• Background in data annotation or rubric development is a strong plus.
