Mercor is working with a leading AI lab to hire beauty experts who can pinpoint the right skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrance products for different shoppers.

You’ll translate ingredient labels, shade ranges, and texture needs into succinct recommendations while ensuring AI-suggested picks remain inclusive, safe, and practical.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate products: Assess formulas, shade/undertone matches, and hair-type suitability while avoiding medical claims.
• Write concise guidance: Provide pros/cons, trade-offs, specs, and “who this is for” copy tailored to shopper briefs.
• Compare across budgets: Build value, mid-range, and premium options across major retailers and flag availability concerns.
• Refine AI picks: Review, correct, and annotate AI-generated recommendations, adding missing context or inclusivity notes.

Ideal Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in beauty retail, salon/MUA/esthetician work, beauty editorial, or a serious enthusiast track record.
• Ability to evaluate ingredient lists, texture, and finish with consumer-friendly language.
• Inclusive mindset across skin tones, hair textures, sensitivities, and fragrance preferences.
• Bonus: esthetician/cosmetologist license, fragrance taxonomy knowledge, or textured-hair expertise.
