AI Banking Tutor (Full Time)

Mercor is partnering with an AI research group to recruit seasoned banking professionals who can deliver expert annotations across retail and corporate operations.

As an AI Banking Data Specialist, you will label, evaluate, and refine AI-generated outputs across corporate and retail banking contexts while guiding tooling improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Use proprietary software to label, annotate, and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to financial services.
• Deliver curated, high-quality data for corporate banking, retail banking, loan management, and financial product development.
• Collaborate with technical and research teams to train and refine AI models for banking applications.
• Assist in designing and improving annotation tools and workflows tailored for financial datasets.
• Identify and analyze complex problems in banking domains to enhance AI model reasoning and performance.
• Apply sound judgment and maintain precision while adapting to evolving task instructions.

Ideal Qualifications

• Professional experience in banking, finance, or related fields such as corporate banking, retail banking, loan processing, or financial product management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and interpret complex instructions with accuracy.
• Demonstrated interest in financial technology, AI, or digital innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, CBCA, CAMS, or CPA.
• Experience mentoring or training professionals in banking or finance.
• Familiarity with AI systems, data annotation workflows, or technical environments.
• Comfort recording short audio or video clips for model training datasets.

Work Environment & Requirements

• Full-time position, available remotely or in-person in Palo Alto, CA (5 days per week for on-site).
• Initial training schedule runs 9:00am to 5:30pm PST for the first two weeks before transitioning to your local timezone.
• Personal computer must be a Chromebook, Mac (macOS 11+), or Windows 10+ device.
• Reliable smartphone access is required.
• U.S.-based applicants must reside outside of Wyoming and Illinois.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation & Terms

• $45-$100/hour for U.S.-based professionals, depending on experience, education, skills, geographic location, and qualifications.
• The posted range applies to U.S.-based candidates; Mercor's recruiting team provides localized ranges for international applicants.
• Hourly pay is just one component of the total rewards package, with benefits varying by country.
