Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI research group to advance astronomy problem-solving in multilingual contexts. We are seeking astronomy experts with IOAA experience or a PhD to curate rigorous datasets that train next-generation models.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and source advanced astronomy questions and resources across global publications.
• Organize materials into structured datasets with clear metadata and difficulty indicators.
• Validate scientific accuracy and ensure each item meets high rigor standards.
• Extract detailed reasoning frameworks and annotations from academic sources.

Ideal Qualifications

• Background in astronomy with IOAA participation or a PhD in an astronomy subfield.
• Ability to evaluate the rigor and complexity of advanced astronomy problems.
• Experience working with multilingual resources or international academic materials.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and analytical skills.
