Epic BOS tracks confirmed swing highs and swing lows, then marks when price breaks those levels. Continuation breaks are labeled BOS. Reversal-style breaks are labeled CHOCH.
The indicator uses pivot logic to confirm swing highs and swing lows. Once confirmed, it labels the sequence as HH, HL, LH, and LL.
The dashed lines are the current active structure levels. The upper dashed line is the latest swing high. The lower dashed line is the latest swing low. These are the levels price has to break to prove continuation or change.
If price breaks the active level in the same direction as current structure, the script prints BOS. If price breaks against the current structure bias, the script prints CHOCH.
Each confirmed break updates the structure bias so traders can quickly see whether the market is acting bullish, bearish, or neutral.

This is the latest confirmed swing high. If price breaks above it with your chosen confirmation setting, the script can print a bullish BOS or bullish CHOCH.
This is the latest confirmed swing low. If price breaks below it, the script can print a bearish BOS or bearish CHOCH.
Use Close when you want stricter structure breaks. Use Wick when you want faster but more aggressive signals.
The ATR buffer forces price to break the level by an extra amount before the signal counts. This helps filter weaker fake breaks in noisier conditions.
There are two clean ways to use Epic BOS: continuation trading and reversal trading.
Use BOS when the market is already trending and you want confirmation that structure is still continuing.
If the market is making higher highs and higher lows, then breaks above the active swing high, a bullish BOS can confirm that buyers are still in control.
If the market is making lower highs and lower lows, then breaks below the active swing low, a bearish BOS can confirm continued downside structure.
Use CHOCH as the early warning that the prior structure may be failing and a new directional phase could be starting.
Wait for CHOCH first. Then wait for the next BOS in that same new direction. That sequence usually gives the cleaner confirmation.
Take the CHOCH earlier, then use the opposite swing level as your invalidation. This is faster, but naturally more aggressive.
Epic BOS is especially useful in markets where traders care about structure, liquidity grabs, session highs/lows, and directional shifts.
In futures, use Epic BOS to map session structure around major levels like overnight high/low, opening range, and intraday swing points. A CHOCH near a key level can warn that the auction is shifting. A BOS after that can help confirm continuation in the new direction.
In forex, use the indicator to read structure through London and New York session expansions. BOS can help confirm continuation after a pullback. CHOCH can help highlight when a session move is losing control and the market is rotating the other way.
Do not trade every label blindly. Use structure with context: session timing, volatility, nearby liquidity, and higher-timeframe direction. Epic BOS works best as a structure map, not as a random standalone trigger.

Three controls matter most when you want to tune signal quality.
Lower values react faster and show more structure shifts. Higher values smooth out noise and make the map more selective.
Close is cleaner. Wick is faster. For launch-ready, cleaner reads, most traders will prefer Close.
If the market is too choppy, increase the ATR break buffer so weak probes do not count as full structure breaks.
