Mercor is seeking experienced financial managers to craft realistic scenarios that train AI systems on budget planning, reporting, and strategic finance leadership.

Mercor is working with a leading AI lab to capture how seasoned financial managers handle budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and executive communications.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Managers role is a remote contract position paying $120-$150/hr. It suits experienced professionals who want flexible, project-based AI work reviewed on a rolling basis. You collaborate directly with client teams on real deliverables that help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems, with no long-term commitment required.

• Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world financial management based on your professional experience.
• Create realistic situations involving budget planning, financial reporting, cash flow management, team leadership, and strategic planning.
• Develop scenarios for overseeing accounting teams, preparing forecasts, managing audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and presenting to executives.
• Review and evaluate AI responses to financial management queries for accuracy and professional standards.
• Provide detailed feedback on financial management scenarios to improve AI training.

Ideal Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience as a financial manager, finance director, or controller in finance or insurance.
• Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities.
• Proficient with computers and comfortable navigating diverse software systems.
• Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills.
• Ability to pass a video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz.

More About the Opportunity

• Fully remote and asynchronous - complete work on your own schedule.
• Expected workload: 20+ hours per week with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours.
• Project start date: immediate, with engagements lasting around six weeks.

Compensation & Contract Terms

• $120-$150/hour based on experience, paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Independent contractor engagement through Mercor.
• Hourly compensation is paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Payments are based on services rendered, and contractors maintain full control over their work schedule and methods.
