General and Operations Managers

Mercor is seeking experienced General and Operations Managers to support a leading AI lab in advancing research for next-generation machine learning systems.

You will create tasks and deliverables around common operations and management requests while working independently and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Create operations and management tasks rooted in real-world workflows.
• Diagnose and solve domain-specific issues to strengthen AI reasoning.
• Document guidance and outputs clearly and consistently.
• Follow project standards for quality and timeliness.

Ideal Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in operations or general management.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to scale hours as needed during the project.

More About the Opportunity

• Expected workload: ~15 hours per week with flexibility up to 30+ hours.
• Project start: immediate, lasting around 3-4 weeks.
• Independent contractor role with weekly payments via Stripe or Wise.
• Mercor cannot currently support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
