Reading the Day Trading Dashboard
The main dashboard card shows SPY (or your chosen ticker) data. Here's what each field means:
Price Information
- CURRENT PRICE: Live price (updates every 10-60 seconds based on tier)
- DAY CHANGE: $ change and % change from previous close
- DAY HIGH: Highest price reached today
- DAY LOW: Lowest price reached today
- OPEN: Price at market open (9:30 AM ET)
- PREV CLOSE: Yesterday's closing price (4:00 PM ET)
Fear/Greed Radar (Speedometer)
This animated gauge shows market sentiment from 0-100:
- 0-30 (Red zone): Extreme Fear - Market oversold, potential buying opportunity
- 30-70 (Yellow zone): Neutral - Market balanced

📖 How Fear/Greed is Calculated
The score combines: Price momentum (20%), position in day's range (20%), distance from open (15%), trading bias signals (15%), and volatility (30%). The needle "wiggles" ±2° to show active scanning - this is intentional animation!
Intraday Status Fields
- TREND: Direction indicator (UP ↗, DOWN ↘, NEUTRAL →)

Key Levels (Numbers to Watch)
These are NOT shown on a chart - they're calculated support/resistance levels:
- RESISTANCE: Price ceiling where selling pressure increases (use as take-profit target)

- PIVOT: Central balance point between support/resistance

Opening Range (ORB)
Shows the high and low from the first 30 minutes of trading (9:30-10:00 AM ET). Breakouts above ORB high = bullish signal. Breakdowns below ORB low = bearish signal.
Confluence Alignment (Dashboard Only)
The Day Trading Dashboard now shows a simple, at‑a‑glance alignment bar made of five confirmation chips. Each chip turns green when that specific condition supports your current trading bias (CALLS/LONG or PUTS/SHORT). You’ll also see a score like “Confluence: 4/5” so you can instantly gauge how much is lining up without staring at multiple panels.
- ORB: CALLS when price is above Opening Range High; PUTS when below Opening Range Low.
- VWAP: CALLS when price is above VWAP; PUTS when below VWAP.
- Pivot: CALLS when price is above the daily pivot; PUTS when below.
- Range + Momentum: CALLS when price is near day high and change ≥ 0; PUTS when near day low and change ≤ 0.
- Trend: CALLS when intraday trend is bullish; PUTS when bearish.
🎯 Strict Alerts (Optional)
Use the “Strict: ON/OFF” toggle in the Dashboard widget to control alert sounds. When ON, sounds only play if Confluence ≥ 4/5 (default threshold) — great for reducing noise in choppy sessions. When OFF, alerts behave as before. Your setting is saved per browser. This feature affects only the Day Trading Dashboard (not other panels).

❓ "Reddit sentiment shows tickers I don't recognize"
Reddit tracks trending tickers from 10 subreddits. Not all will be good trades! Use sentiment data as ONE input, not the only input. Cross-reference with:
- Multi-Timeframe Trend (is it actually trending up?)
- Key Levels (is there support/resistance nearby?)
- Your own research (fundamentals, news, chart patterns)
❓ "Congressional Trading shows old dates"
Politicians must file within 45 days of trading. You'll see trades that happened weeks ago - this is normal. The data is still useful for spotting patterns (e.g., multiple politicians buying the same sector before news breaks).
