Mercor’s AI lab partner needs junior investment bankers to support financial strategy, modeling, and investor communications in a fast-moving research environment.

This part-time role is ideal for early-career finance professionals or students who want direct exposure to frontier AI deals while honing core banking skills.

Responsibilities

• Research markets: Track AI, tech, and adjacent industries to surface trends and benchmarks.
• Build models: Maintain financial models that support fundraising scenarios and valuation analyses.
• Create materials: Draft pitch decks, investor memos, and due diligence packets.
• Assist diligence: Support partner reviews and ad-hoc analysis for strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in finance, economics, or related field.
• 0–2 years experience in investment banking, VC, PE, or corporate finance.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interest in AI/technology a plus.
