Mercor is recruiting experienced law enforcement supervisors to create authentic scenarios that train AI systems on police leadership and operations.

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to capture how seasoned police supervisors handle day-to-day operations, emergency response, and personnel management.

Key Responsibilities

The Police Sergeants and Supervisors role is a remote contract position paying $75-$105/hr. It suits experienced professionals who want flexible, project-based AI work reviewed on a rolling basis. You collaborate directly with client teams on real deliverables that help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems, with no long-term commitment required.

• Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world law enforcement supervision based on your professional experience.
• Create realistic situations involving shift management, resource allocation, incident command, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop scenarios for coordinating emergency responses, managing patrol operations, conducting internal investigations, training officers, implementing policies, and handling misconduct.
• Review and evaluate AI responses to law enforcement supervision queries for accuracy and professional standards.
• Provide detailed feedback on police and detective supervision scenarios to improve AI training.

Ideal Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience as a first-line supervisor, sergeant, lieutenant, or detective supervisor in government law enforcement.
• Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities.
• Proficient with computers and able to navigate a variety of software systems.
• Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills.
• Ability to pass a video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz.

More About the Opportunity

• Fully remote and asynchronous - complete work on your own schedule.
• Expected workload: 20+ hours per week with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours.
• Project start date: immediate, with engagements lasting around six weeks.

Compensation & Contract Terms

• $75-$105/hour with weekly payouts via Stripe Connect.
• Independent contractor engagement through Mercor.
• Hourly compensation is paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
• Payments are based on services rendered, and contractors maintain full control over their work schedule and methods.
