Mercor is recruiting psychiatrists to evaluate AI-generated psychiatric workflows and provide safety-focused feedback.

Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to embed psychiatric expertise into medical AI evaluation pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatry Expert role is a remote contract position paying $130-$150/hr. It suits experienced professionals who want flexible, project-based AI work reviewed on a rolling basis. You collaborate directly with client teams on real deliverables that help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems, with no long-term commitment required.

• Contribute clinical expertise to the design and evaluation of AI medical outputs.
• Review AI-generated psychiatric case studies, diagnoses, and workflows for accuracy and alignment with medical standards.
• Provide structured feedback on clarity, safety, and medical rigor.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to refine model performance and outputs.

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical practice experience in the United States.
• Experience practicing psychiatry.
• MD or DO from a reputable medical school.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Located in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia.

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate.
• Duration: 6 weeks.
• Commitment: Part-time (20+ hours per week).
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous with flexible working hours.

Compensation & Contract

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($130-$150 USD per hour).
• Top performers receive weekly bonus incentives of $30 per hour on top of their pay rate.
• Engagement structured as an independent contractor role with daily payments via Stripe Connect.
