Software Expert (Creative Software)

Mercor is supporting a data collection initiative to improve how AI systems understand creative software workflows.

You will record narrated screen sessions and annotate screenshots from professional creative tools following structured guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Record screen sessions demonstrating creative software tasks with clear narration.
• Annotate screenshots by drawing precise bounding boxes around relevant UI elements.
• Follow staging instructions to set up specific UI states before capture.
• Use the custom capture tool and adhere closely to data-quality guidelines.

Who You Are

• Strong familiarity with tools like Photoshop, Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Blender, FruitLoops Studio, Unreal Engine, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow precise instructions consistently.
• Comfortable working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
• Have access to a physical Mac and can create a fresh macOS user profile if required.

What Success Looks Like

• Annotations are precise, consistent, and aligned with guidelines.
• Screen recordings capture realistic, expert workflows end-to-end.
• Tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining high quality.
• Collected data is usable at scale for AI research and development.
