Biology PhDs (Wet Lab Experience)

Research - Hourly Contract - Remote - $60-$80/hr

Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to evaluate biology-focused AI models. You will design diagnostic tasks, surface failure modes in research protocols, and recommend mitigations rooted in wet lab best practices.

What You'll Do

• Review advanced biology research protocols and anticipate failure points or safety gaps.
• Design benchmark tasks that challenge AI models to reason about experimental methods.
• Document findings and mitigation strategies that improve scientific reliability.

Why You're a Great Fit

• Current PhD student or advanced degree holder in molecular biology, microbiology, bioengineering, immunology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on wet lab experience with deep familiarity in research methodologies.
• Exceptional attention to detail, rigorous problem-solving skills, and clear communication.

Compensation & Logistics

• Hourly contractor role via Mercor paying $60-$80 per hour through Stripe Connect.
