Mercor is hiring a buy-side analyst on behalf of a frontier AI lab. You will produce high-conviction research, bespoke financial models, and ongoing portfolio intelligence that directly shapes allocation and deployment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth financial analysis, including DCF, comparables, and precedent transactions.
• Conduct industry and company research with a focus on AI and technology sectors.
• Prepare investment memos, theses, and materials for committee presentations.
• Monitor portfolio performance, track risk signals, and assess macro or sector developments.
• Support due diligence on private investments and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA or advanced degree preferred.
• 1-3 years within buy-side research, asset management, venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.
• Expertise in Excel modeling and executive-level PowerPoint storytelling.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written communication.
