Mercor is seeking experienced Lawyers to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems.

You will create tasks and deliverables based on common legal requests while working independently and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Create legal tasks and deliverables rooted in real-world legal workflows.
• Diagnose and solve domain-specific issues to strengthen AI reasoning.
• Document guidance and outputs with clarity and strong grammar.
• Follow project standards for quality and consistency.

Ideal Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional legal experience.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving project.

More About the Opportunity

• Expected workload: ~15 hours per week with flexibility up to 30+ hours.
• Project start: immediate, lasting around 3-4 weeks.
• Independent contractor role with weekly payments via Stripe or Wise.
• Mercor cannot currently support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
