Legal Practice • Hourly Contract • Remote • $130-$145/hour

Mercor is seeking experienced lawyers to build legal research, drafting, and negotiation scenarios that train AI systems.

Mercor is partnering with an AI lab to represent the analysis and judgment of practicing lawyers within AI training datasets.

Key Responsibilities

Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world legal work based on your practice experience.
Create realistic situations involving legal research, case analysis, contract review, and client consultation.
Develop scenarios for drafting legal documents, advising clients, negotiating agreements, and resolving disputes.
Review and evaluate AI responses to legal queries for accuracy and adherence to professional standards.
Provide detailed feedback on legal practice scenarios to improve AI training.

Ideal Qualifications

4+ years of professional experience as a lawyer in professional, scientific, or technical services.
Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities.
Proficient with computers and adept at navigating various software systems.
Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills.
Ability to pass a video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz.

More About the Opportunity

Fully remote and asynchronous — complete work on your own schedule.
Expected workload: 20+ hours per week with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours.
Project start date: immediate, with engagements lasting around six weeks.

Compensation & Contract Terms

$130-$145/hour with weekly payouts via Stripe Connect.
Independent contractor engagement through Mercor.
Hourly compensation is paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
Payments are based on services rendered, and contractors maintain full control over their work schedule and methods.
